Lightfielder Free-View Title Generator

Supports Multi-View 6DoF View-Dependent Rendering via SfM Camera Pose Import

Lightfielder/Vonk Ultra's dev team is building a super exciting OGraf based 3D camera engine that is multi-view rendering compatible. This works inside of BMD Resolve Studio's Deliver page, alongside the "[x] Individual Clips" export setting. With this solution you get an OGraf based, 100% real-time camera controller with its own dedicated 3D scenegraph.

The Ograf template runs as an edit page title template like element that exists in a fully 3D/4D navigable 6DoF (six degrees of freedom) virtual reality environment. With a bit of scripting help, the OGraf module is capable of pulling all of the camera settings from an SfM based volumetric video camera array. You can now access a flexible 2D, 3D PBR, or 3D vector curve based graphics generator in Resolve/Fusion that has its own 3D workspace that runs faster than Fusion's native masking nodes do for shape creation.

The OGraf renderer is 100% end-user scriptable tech. Every aspect of this free-view motion graphics content creation space runs under your control via an interactive live-rendering HTML5 canvas.

This approach was was developed and pioneered by Dunn Lewis of the Vonk Ultra "vMograph and OGraf" tools project.

The new OGraf render engine is able to provide volumetric video editors with access to a unique title design system, that runs interactively on the Edit, Color, Fusion, and Deliver pages in Resolve. As a rendering solution, there is finally an efficient way to unlock true view-dependent "Lightfielder Title Graphics" technology via OGraf. What makes this concept so exciting is that it has the capacity to run on a stock Edit page session that has vertically stacked video tracks with "Lightfielder for DaVinci Resolve Studio v21.1".

The camera array data import support will include COLMAP (.txt) files, NVIDIA InstantNGP (.json), AgiSoft Metashape (.psx), Capturing Reality RealityScan (.xml), CSV Spreadsheets, and even a user supplied URL that points at a Google Sheets document.

The "Lightfielder 6DoF Free-View Title Generator" development effort is currently focused on getting a beta version of the OGraf title generator to run directly from the user supplied camera pose and camera filmback data. This is information that is a "set once and forget" like attribute that is defined in the Lightfielder for DaVinci Resolve "Preferences" window. These SfM camera pose attributes are able to be further controlled and refined in the Resolve Edit page Inspector panel for the "OGraf SfM Camera" effect.
